Mission & Objectives
HHMI's Department of Science Education (formerly the Office of Grants and Special Programs) is committed to strengthening education in biology and related sciences. Other important objectives are to advance public understanding and appreciation of science and to broaden access to science for all persons, including women and members of groups underrepresented in the sciences.
HHMI's grants program provides funding for pre-KŠ12 and undergraduate science education, graduate science education and medical student research training.
HHMI's grants and fellowships are administered by the Department of Science Education.
